PAXEER NETWORK® — COLOR
OUR COMPLETE PALETTE — 8 COLORS
01 — OUR PALETTE
The Paxeer palette is built on obsidian foundations with two blues — Paxeer Blue and Paxeer Ink — as the only accents. Every other color is a shade of neutral. The palette is intentionally constrained. Constraint creates authority.

02 — BASE BLUE
Paxeer Blue (#004CED) is the primary accent. It carries authority, precision, and trust. It is the color of action — CTAs, links, active states, and key data points. Paxeer Ink (#2841B8) is its darker sibling — used for gradient backgrounds, filled buttons, and hero surfaces.

05 — USING COLOR
Color decisions are functional, not decorative. Every color use must serve legibility, hierarchy, or brand recognition. Use the minimum number of colors needed. Never use more than three colors in a single composition.
Every composition starts dark. Obsidian is the default background for all brand surfaces.
Paxeer Blue and Ink are never used as large background fills. Reserve them for interactive elements, data, and key moments.
Red, orange, and yellow are prohibited in brand contexts unless they are semantic status colors (error, warning).
Graphite, Storm, Slate, and Mist are for hierarchy only — surface, muted text, placeholder, disabled. Not decoration.
06 — USING SECONDARY COLOR
Secondary colors are semantic status colors — they communicate meaning, not brand. They appear only in product contexts: alerts, validation states, confirmations, warnings. They are never used in marketing, print, or social media without explicit brand approval.

07 — USING COLOR ON WEB
Use sRGB for all digital color values. CSS custom properties are the single source of truth for web implementations. Never hardcode hex values in component code — always reference tokens.

08 — COLOR INTERACTION AND LEGIBILITY
All text/background combinations must meet WCAG 2.1 minimum contrast ratios. AA compliance (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) is the baseline. AAA compliance (7:1) is required for legal and critical information.

09 — PRODUCT
In product interfaces, color is used to communicate state, not decorate. The product palette is a strict subset of the brand palette. Interactive elements use Paxeer Blue. Backgrounds use Obsidian and Graphite. Text uses the neutral scale from Paper to Storm.

10 — MISUSE
Do not use the legacy cyan (#00E0FF) in any new work — it is discontinued
Do not apply gradients between the two blues outside of approved brand templates
Do not use more than three colors in a single composition
Do not introduce new brand colors without brand team sign-off
Do not use warm hues (red, orange, yellow) in brand contexts — only semantic use in product
Do not tint or shade Paxeer Blue — use only the approved hex values
Never apply color to add purely decorative interest — every color use must serve a function
11 — IN-USE
